Politecnico di Torino has developed a deep and enduring relationship with China over the past decades. Since the early 2000s, the University has welcomed a growing number of Chinese students, helping to build a rich and dynamic international academic community.
In recent years, Politecnico has further strengthened its ties with the Chinese academic world through projects based in China and collaborations with numerous universities across the country. One of the most significant initiatives is the establishment of the China Center, a key hub for developing bilateral relations.
Today, the Chinese Alumni community of Politecnico consists of over 2,000 former students, active worldwide and prominent in academic, industrial, and institutional fields.
To enhance the connection with these Alumni and consolidate the University’s presence in China, the PoliTO China Alumni Association (PCAA) was founded in 2020. Its goal is to engage former students of Chinese origin and/or residents in China who wish to contribute to the growth and internationalization of Politecnico.
To date, the Association has established local chapters in more than ten provinces and regions of China, including Beijing, Shanghai, Harbin, Chongqing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Xi’an, becoming a key reference point for networking, collaboration, and cultural exchange between Alumni and the University.
